Dr. Gary Lovell was born and raised in Ririe, Idaho on a potato farm. He is known as “Captain Calm” by his associates because of his composed and unruffled demeanor.
After missionary service in Germany, he graduated with high honors from the University of Utah’s School of Medicine. His OB residency was done at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. He is recognized as a fellow by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
He was excited to come back to Idaho to practice. He and his wife Carolee have six children and five grandchildren. As a family they enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Upper Valley with hiking and camping. Music has played a big role in their family.
He enjoys working with women’s health issues and finds it rewarding to serve women of all ages and through the milestones of their lives.
