Dr. Robert L. Coray is a board-certified General Surgeon, and has been practicing in Rexburg since 2005.  Prior to moving to Rexburg, he worked in private practice in Pocatello for 7 years.  Dr. Coray cares for any kind of general surgery problem, including advanced laparoscopy, cancers and endoscopy screenings, as well as the most current laser therapy for varicose and spider vein treatment. Some of the common procedures he performs on a regular basis are Hernia Repair, Gall Bladder Surgery, Cancer Surgery, and Breast Surgery, including Augmentation. He also has additional, specialized training in Vascular and Thoracic Surgeries.

 

Dr. Coray was raised in Pocatello, Idaho, and attended Idaho State University, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Science.  He went on to University of Utah Medical School, and then performed his General Surgery residency training at Southern Illinois University.

 

His wife, Julie, and he have 5 children together.  He enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors camping and fishing, and also likes to take advantage of the winters on snowmobiles.  He speaks Japanese and enjoys Thai food and Nielsen’s frozen custard.  Dr. Coray appreciates the Southeastern Idaho way of life, and enjoys being able to raise his family in the Rexburg area.
